Next Year 2013 the Old Gaffers Association will celebrate our 50th Birthday

To celebrate this landmark in the history of the preservation of traditional gaff rig our lovely boats will be out on parade! Members will be sailing their boats round Britain all summer long and they will be joined by Old Gaffers from the Netherlands, Belgium and France. Some members will complete the Round Britain Challenge which is a 4 month long circumnavigation of Britain, whilst others either accompany the Round Britain fleet on its way in their area, or participate in local birthday celebrations round the country, or in a Relay linking up around the country to deliver some special local tokens.

The Climax of the Celebrations will be at Cowes 15th - 18th August.

The Isle of Man will also be holding celebrations 8th - 12th August for those surrounding the Irish Sea and not participating in the Round Britain Challenge.
